Musical Imagination Adventure (Preschool and K-5)
Let’s go on a magical musical adventure together! We will make connections between music, books, and our lives. We will explore our imagination while listening to different types of music. We will read Lucas Plays and learn about the violin. Together we will generate ideas that we can play with. Maybe some of them will turn into stories of your own!
Using Music to Access Imagination (Grades 2-5)
Songs can make us feel a variety of emotions, they can bring us back to vivid memories, and into new and fantastical worlds. We will access our imaginations through a variety of musical genres, create images in our mind and put them to paper. Then we will brainstorm ideas on how to turn them into stories complete with characters, setting, and plot.
Where do Ideas Come From? (Grades K-5)
Inspiration comes from ordinary life events and fantastical daydreams, song lyrics, funny words, and big feelings. In this workshop I share where my writing ideas come from and how I turn them into stories with characters and plot. Together, we will brainstorm ideas for characters, settings, problems and themes, and turn them into stories.
