Moment in time

I am honored that this story was a finalist in Vivian Kirkfield’s #50PreciousWords Contest for 2022.

Entering contests can be scary - but this one was really fun, and participating in it made me feel brave, then seen, then proud.

This story has many meanings for me, and I love hearing about howit resonates with other people that read it.

What feels most forward in my mind at the moment is that I have been watching a loved one go through the early stages of memory loss and the late stages of life, and more than ever, each little moment really matters.
